RESEARCH INTERESTS

Synthesis and structural analysis of amorphous, quasicrystalline and crystalline materials. Understanding of composition and synthesis route effects on short-range atomic order, meta-stable phase formation and physical behavior. Developing relationships between tribological behavior and materials microstructures. Processing of novel materials and surface coatings using thermal spray, rapid solidification and plastic processing techniques.
