RESEARCH INTERESTS

Synthesis and characterization of bioinspired micro/nanostructured polymeric materials. Development of controlled micro/nanostructures by surface patterning, processing techniques or by synthetic techniques leading to self-assembled nano and macrostructures. Focus on biodegradable as well as self-assembling polymeric materials that respond to environmental stimuli. Application of the patterned polymers in drug/gene delivery and tissue engineering.
